My wife and youngest son had decided to go skiing and my daughter refused to leave her "hobbit hole" to experience the great outdoors so I chose to stay behind and figured I could get lots of work done in the office as well as spend time with my daughter. Little did I know that spending time with my daughter meant hiding away watching episodes of Supernatural or picking clothing ideas online for a story she's working on. Neither of these are all that appealing to me so I used the time to continue organizing the new office.
The old comic book stands, which had served their purpose stalwartly for over 25 years, had been sold to a new comic book/game store and their replacements look mighty fine and give more room to what was once a very crowded space. The new office looks great and I shall endeavor to add a few photos soon but for now I just keep cleaning and working. The clients appreciate the working part and really don't care how nice the office looks, but for me it helps to stay on top of their orders and keeps my mind from feeling cluttered.
I am also trying to get into a routine of updating my blog posts on a regular basis, but so far nobody seems to be reading them . . . or at least no one is commenting on them, so I'm not sure what the hurry is. In the meantime I can continue to find my voice here until such time as it's loud enough to be heard. Of course, if it's loud enough to break the silence I may need to turn on some quiet jazz.
